Chef jeremiah matthews
Chef Jeremiah Matthews was raised along the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He began his career in the kitchen at the age of 13, washing dishes at a restaurant in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
After several years of summers and nights spent in the kitchen, Jeremiah attended culinary school Paul Smiths College in upstate New York and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. Chef Matthews has trained in 3-star Michelin restaurants in Paris and the Burgundy region of France, as well as being a back country chef and guide in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Most recently, Chef Matthews opened Southwood Kitchen in Daphne, Alabama. When not the kitchen, Jeremiah enjoys fishing, hunting, and everything outdoors.
