In early 2015 the concept of “The Delta Supper Club” was born from two Delta transplants, Stewart Robinson and Kimme Hargrove, and Delta “born and raised” Chef David Crews. The idea was simple - “Our ultimate goal is to preserve and celebrate the rich culture that the Mississippi Delta has to offer.  We are asking you to eat fabulous food prepared by an acclaimed chef, to drink paired libations from brew masters/distillers/sommeliers, and to attend these special events hosted at culturally significant sites somewhere along the plains of the Mississippi Delta.”

Our 1st dinner in 2015 was held at Dockery Planation (the birthplace of the Delta Blues) with two of Kentucky’s Best, Chef Edward Lee and Distiller Trey Zoeller, where we were treated to Voyage #1 of Jefferson’s Bourbon Ocean-aged Voyage #1 and dishes like Kimchi and collards with Korean Fried Chicken. What happened next surprised even us; articles in Forbes, The New York Times, Garden & Gun Magazine - and the next 5 years were a “who’s who of the culinary world” with over 20 events highlighting guest chefs from Miami, Florida to Astoria, Oregon. A showing of over 500 members from16 different states coming to visit parts of the Mississippi Delta they had only ever read about in books. ....Then in 2020 Covid stopped the world and Delta Supper Club in its tracks.
The past 5 years have been full of changes; Post-Covid, the Delta Supper Club could never rekindle the fire it once had; in 2023 both Stewart and Kimme relocated outside of the Delta to pursue other ventures. In 2025, Chef David Crews purchased all rights to the Delta Supper Club for the purpose of rebranding and relaunching as the Delta Supper Club Foundation. The Foundation will be based off of Matthew 25:35 "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
